Las Vegas, Left Behind

Just got back from a weekend in infamous Las Vegas, Nevada. We went for the beautiful wedding of my cousin Daniel and his fiancee Celeste at the Palms’ rooftop Ghostbar, a place I’m sure I will never be lucky enough to go to again. While there, there was lots of bonding with family I haven’t seen for almost 10 years, buffets of great food, hot tubbing, and even the winning of a little bit of money- an amazing trip overall.

We stayed in beautiful rooms at the Palazzo, and wandered around looking at all the amazing architecture along the strip. I was blown away by the Crystals Shopping Center, very similar in style to SF’s Jewish Museum, and the 4-story crystal beading of the Cosmopolitan. The Cosmo also did a great job paying homage to the classic Vegas feel, with photos of the rat pack hung in mid-century modern lounges and a pool terrace with astro turf and fooseball tables!

Vegas, if anything, is an extraordinary mix of people- no wonder there are so many movies set there. Along with the upcoming Hangover 2, my future must-watch list now includes:
