Weekend To Do List

April 28, 2011

Tomorrow, toughen up a little more with free boxing lessons at the East Bay Rats’ clubhouse from 6:30 to 9:30. Or, if you want mental exercise with less cerebral damage check out the one-night only book launch of SF illustrator Paul Madonna, who will be at Electric Works greeting fans and signing copies of his beautiful new collection entitled Everything Is Its Own Reward.

On Saturday, take a lovely day trip up to the North Bay for a FREE event designed to showcase the prevalence of organic food and local producers in Sonoma County. Oliver’s Market and Nor Cal’s organic chicken pioneer Petaluma Poultry will be providing free food and wine tastings from some of the best local producers from 10am to 3 pm. My mouth started to drool when I saw the list of participating vendors, like Marin French Cheese Company, Krave Jerky, Alexander Valley Pickles, Laloos’  Goat’s Milk Ice Cream, Sjaak’s Organic Chocolates, French Garden Farm, Grindstone Bakery, Revive Drinks, Wolf Coffee, and Cline Cellars just to name a few. Sounds amazing, right? For more information go here.

Keep the mind, body, and soul pampering going with FREE dance lessons around the bay in honor of National Dance Week. Been fantasizing about trying ballet since seeing Black Swan? Wanna get steamier on the dance floor with some salsa? No problem- check out the vast array of choices available to you through Sunday.
