The Week Starter: See Where We Were

June 7, 2010

Back from a last-minute vacation to New York and missing it terribly! Although it’s nice to be home (there’s no place like it) my second time ’round to the Big Apple was amazing- I’ve learned a few things from the first trip and found it much easier to get around and adjust.

We visited the Natural History Museum and the Guggenheim, had drinks on the roof of the Met, and went to the Bronx Zoo! We hung out in Central Park, soaked up some wonderfully warm thunderstorms, partied in Brooklyn, and scored some sweet stuff at the Hell’s Kitchen flea market. I made a point to seek out bagels, knishes, hot dogs, and corned beef sandwiches. We discovered Seamless Web, indulged in lots of mindless TV (GaGa interview with Larry King!), and even met Amanda LePore. If you’re not following the BAB twitter account yet, you can see the documentation of our travels on it, here. I couldn’t have asked for more from a vacation.

In other news, I can’t believe it’s already June! Although not as warm as NY, this past Art Murmur was so nice and pleasant- I love when the sun doesn’t set ’til 8pm. I might be participating in the next one, so stay tuned. And if I hadn’t already announced it- there are a few pieces of marispacifica jewelry now available at Rock Paper Scissors (23rd and Telegraph) so my etsy is most likely not going to be updated much as a result.

Also, I know it’s a little late, but I posted pics from last month’s Maker Faire as well. Phew, blogging has become so hard to do now that no one is at a computer much these days. But, it looks like we might have some guest posts coming up. I’m excited for the new contributions, be sure to be on the look out for them!
