First Show EVER at WE Artspace, Oakland

December 1, 2009

I’m really excited to take part in my first show of any kind at the intimate and comfy WE Artspace here in Oakland. Tina and Naaman, super chill co-owners and residents of WE, will be opening up their home cum gallery every weekend now until December 20th for their holiday-oriented Stocking Stuffers show.

Local artists and artisans will have AFFORDABLE pieces and treasures for you and yours, and different vendors will be selling their wares on different days so I certainly recommend going back more than once. To see a list of the featured artists and their respective portfolios, just click here.

If you’re interested in checking out the salvaged and eco-friendly jewelry of marispacifica in person, then please come visit me December 19th and 20th from 11-4! In addition to the chain & seaglass necklaces I’ve been working on, I’ll have some pretty necklaces and earrings made from donated feathers (best gift ever!) as well as a few prints, cards, and other mystery goodies.

And as we’ve already mentioned, our friend and respected contemporary Chris Vogel will have numerous, amazing pieces displayed and available for purchase as well. I can’t express enough how happy I am to be showing alongside him, and I have him to thank for inspiring me to take advantage of this opportunity.

So mark your calendars and do your part to support the community by shopping local! There’s lots of great talent out there and I can’t wait to sink or swim. Hope to see you all there…
