There’s a Mystery There: Maurice Sendak at the CJM

October 12, 2009

I know everyone is excited to finally see Where The Wild Things Are at the end of this week, and if you wanna do a little homework to boost your ‘I read that book way back when…’ talk then I suggest checking out the Maurice Sendak show at San Francisco’s Contemporary Jewish Museum.

Maurice Sendak is the author and illustrator of the cult classic children’s book, but did you know he’s worked on over 100 other books? I didn’t even realize that he’s the one responsible for one of my other childhood favorites, In the Night Kitchen – that totally just made my day!

The CJM show runs until January 19th, so no worries if you can’t check it out before the film debut. Also, a heads up for all you with kids on the scene: clear your calendar for this coming Sunday, October 18th for the FREE Target Family Day. For more info click here.
