Mission Street Food in Review

Lucky for us, my honey and I got the chance to check out the much-hyped bi-weekly food orgy that is Mission Street Food.  MSF brings guest chefs into an unlikely space – Lung Shan Chinese restaurant on Mission at 18th – to benefit local charities. 

Word to the wise: get there early.  They’re running a first come, first serve system and lines can get gnarly.  Also, bring cash! 

The waitresses are totally spot on and they move like lightning!  
On the recommendation of our waitress we started with the lavash.  Papas bravas with poached egg, lamb belly and bastilla (below, with rose petals – thats the lavash in front) were all soon to follow. 

Needless to say, we made quick work of all of the tasty dishes.  

So if you’re down for good food and good causes check it out!
