Rain, Rain, Go Away…

January 22, 2009

… or let me find someplace pretty and indoors where I can play:

January 24 through February 8

Lunar New Year Floral Display

Celebrate the Year of the Ox at the Conservatory of Flowers, where the botanical bounty of the Lunar New Year will be artfully arranged into a stunning display on view for two weeks only. The Conservatory’s Potted Plants Gallery will be filled with the blossoms, colors and fragrances that bring good fortune and prosperity for the coming year. A sea of red azaleas and red anthuriums bring great splashes of lucky red into the gallery, while deliciously scented yellow narcissus flowers lend a golden hue to the display. Blooming branches of quince and peach blossom, as well as potted kumquat, mandarin orange and pomelo, boost all visitors’ chances for good fortune and wealth in 2009.

PS- Anyone else remember the adorable scene, shot at the Conservatory, between Robert Downey Jr. and Elizabeth Shue in Heart & Souls? Loves it.
